Precautions for Steel Structure Installation Equipment

The single-story factory steel structure generally consists of components such as purlins, skylight frames, roof trusses, brackets, columns, crane beams, brake beams (or trusses), various supports, and wall frames, forming a spatial rigid framework. These components can be grouped into the following systems based on their functions: (1) Transverse plane frame — the basic load-bearing structure of the factory, composed of columns and transverse beams (roof trusses). It bears the transverse horizontal loads and vertical loads acting on the factory and transfers them to the foundation. (2) Longitudinal plane frame — composed of columns, brackets, crane beams, and inter-column supports. Its function is to ensure the longitudinal stability and rigidity of the factory framework, bearing longitudinal horizontal loads (such as those from cranes).


The single-story factory steel structure is generally composed of purlins, skylight frames, roof trusses, brackets, columns, crane beams, brake beams (or trusses), various supports, and wall frames, forming a spatial rigid framework.
These components can be grouped into the following systems according to their functions:
(1) Transverse plane frame — the basic load-bearing structure of the factory, composed of columns and transverse beams (roof trusses). It bears the transverse horizontal loads and vertical loads acting on the factory and transfers them to the foundation.
(2) Longitudinal plane frame — composed of columns, brackets, crane beams, and inter-column supports. Its function is to ensure the longitudinal immovability and stiffness of the factory frame, bear longitudinal horizontal loads (such as the longitudinal braking force of the crane and longitudinal wind force), and transfer them to the foundation.
(3) Roof system — composed of purlins, skylight frames, roof trusses, brackets, and roof supports.
(4) Crane beams and brake beams — mainly bear the vertical and horizontal loads of the crane and transfer them to the transverse and longitudinal frames.
(5) Supports — including roof supports, inter-column supports, and other additional supports. Their function is to connect individual plane frames into a spatial system to ensure the structure has the necessary stiffness and stability, and also to bear wind forces and crane braking forces.
(6) Wall frames — bear the weight of the walls and wind forces.
In addition, there are some secondary components such as work platforms, ladders, doors, and windows.
The proportion of steel used by various components in the total steel consumption of the entire factory steel structure is roughly shown in the table.
